About This Script

Scans the entire PSD document and generates a comprehensive report of every font used. The report includes: font family name, style (Regular, Bold, Italic), size, color, layer name and path, and whether the font is installed. Missing fonts are highlighted with warnings. The report can be exported as a TXT file, CSV spreadsheet, or displayed in a dialog. Also counts how many text layers use each font. Essential for design handoff, identifying licensing needs, and troubleshooting missing font issues when opening client files.

How to Install

Method 1 — Run directly

Download the .jsx file
Open Illustrator
Go to File > Scripts > Other Script...
Select the downloaded .jsx file
The script runs immediately

Method 2 — Install permanently

Copy the .jsx file to the Scripts folder:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator [version]\Presets\en_US\Scripts\
Restart Illustrator
Find the script under File > Scripts > Font Lister

How do I run this script?
