About This Script

Transforms any selected artwork into a perfectly seamless, tileable pattern. The script analyzes the edges of your selection and automatically adjusts elements that cross boundaries to ensure seamless tiling. Includes a live preview mode that shows a 3x3 tile grid so you can see the repeat before committing. Supports both simple offset patterns and more complex brick/half-drop layouts. The final pattern is registered as a swatch for easy application. Also includes an option to export the tile as a standalone file. Ideal for textile design, wallpaper creation, and background pattern generation.

How to Install

Method 1 — Run directly

Download the .jsx file
Open Illustrator
Go to File > Scripts > Other Script...
Select the downloaded .jsx file
The script runs immediately

Method 2 — Install permanently

Copy the .jsx file to the Scripts folder:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator [version]\Presets\en_US\Scripts\
Restart Illustrator
Find the script under File > Scripts > Seamless Pattern Maker

How do I run this script?
